But CXA believes that enough will, to make the effort of importing ang legalizing the XM for the US market worthwhile even without Citroen official approval. Buyers with a taste for something different will love the eye catching Bertone styling. But why this car may has been shaped by Italian and retains a singularly French flavor?

This look like with a sharp plan with lightly finished wood was long ago forsaken by the rest of civilized automotive world but the french has gone fast. We have more good scores for the straight forward gage layout and the supportive well paded leather buckets. But the US required passive belt and the tip steering wheel european position leaves, less entry room than most american are used to in a luxery car. Standard power seat controls compensate, with a wide range of adjustments. The stereo is hidden behind a flip up panel for extra security. And the well designed automatic climate control flows perfectly the air.

Rear seat room is excellent and the seat falls to briefly expend the cargo area which is already a healthy 16 cubic feet. Another feature is the separate rear window that keeps exhaust fumes out of the passenger compartment when rear hatch is open.
